Some items that I think are interesting:
- NASA- $400,000,000. What would NASA buy with $400 million dollars? Lots of freeze-dried ice cream? Hopefully lots of parachutes for landing on planets.
- Food bank commodity assistance program-$150,000,000. That's like a can of pork and beans for every man, woman and child in America! At least when unemployment reaches 100% we know we'll have at least that one meal covered
- Under the category of Education-$48,420,000,000. This includes worker retraining as well as money for schools, but that's a bunch of money! This makes me happy when I think of all the important people in my life who are involved in education, my two sisters, for instance, and also some red-head's name that I can't remember.
- Pell grants for higher education-$15,840,000,000. This is my meal ticket right here. Nearly $16 Billion?! If I get denied for this then I will be very sad.
