After studying poetry this quarter, it occurred to me that someone needed to conflate the formalism of a sonnet with the conventions of a pop song. This is my first attempt. There may or may not be others.


Pop Sonnet #1

Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah oh yeah
Oh baby baby baby babe
Babe c’mon come on come on come on
I love love love love love love love
You babe come on come on c’mon c’mon
Love love love love love love love love

Me too c’mon baby love me too
Oh yeah baby c’mon love me too
