Tonight there is no moon

The sand, like phosphorus,
glows with the traces of our shambling steps.
Me within you: my hand in yours.
Naked laughing, we splash into the amniotic sea.
Iridescent bioluminescence:
we waft across that black expanse on rafts of light.
And reflected above, the integumented dome of sky.

Deciphering the constellations, you indicate Gemini.
You reach as if to touch them,
not seeing our own shared galaxy.
